The 4th of July in Rodeo, NM
This beautiful little town has the greatest 4th of July celebration. People come from miles around for the parade and they actually close NM State Highway 80 for this! They've been doing this for 23 yrs (in 2001) and hopefully for 23 more. There's a wonderful parade, fantastic fund raising (for scholarships) dinner, fireworks and a lively dance until the wee hours. If you want to see an old fashioned 4th of July, come to Rodeo, New Mexico.
